Busy Weekend Part 1
We spent a couple of days this weekend between Blaine Washington and Vancouver BC. Kirstin did a Triathalon at Semiahmoo and Kirstins parents embark on their Canadian Rockies Train tour from Vancouver.
On Saturday morning, we put Nathan and Grandma and Grandpa on the train in Seattle and sent them on their way.

Kirstin and I then drove up to Vancouver witha stop at Blaine to get signed up for Kirstin's Triathalon. We met up with Martha, Larry and Nathan at the hotel in Vancouver. Nathan loved the train ride!!!
Sunday Morning we drove back to Blaine and after a frenzied rush to the start line after being delayed at the border crossing Kirstin did the triathalon. Yea Kirstin! Here are a couple of photos.

Real Madrid vs. DC United

Kirstin, Nathan, Martha, Larry and Steve and Angie went to the Big game last night. We had fabulous seats. 3rd Row just out from behind the goal in the north endzone. We were up about 12 feet off the filed level so we had a great perspective. It is so exciting to see over 66,000 people in that stadium once again to see a soccer game! The game was pretty good too. Beckham, Ruud, Raul, etc were in the game as well as the good guys for DC United (Adu, Ben Olson). The DC Keeper, Perkins, had a GREAT game. He was forced to make several big saves.

Seafair Weekend
We went to the Museum of Flight this past Saturday to watch the Blue Angels take off and to see the museum. Nathan LOVES the museum.

After walking through the museum we watched the Blue Angels (and Fat Albert) take off at teh beginning of their display.
Here is Fat Albert coming in for a landing.

Nathan and I sat in a DC-3 and got to look in the cockpit. Here we are in the cabin, chillin'.

Lucky #7

Yesterday was our 7th anniversary! Amazing! I got Kirstin some new tubes for her bike tires. Romantic are't I...
Martha and Larry watched Nathan while Kirstin and I went out for a nice dinner at the Dahlia Lounge. http://tomdouglas.com/dahlia/
Dinner was very nice. The food was great. Kirstin had the Crab Cakes and I had the King Salmon.
After dinner we stopped at Gasworks Park and sat and watched the sun setting on the city from the Sundial Hill.
True to form, we were home by 8:45. Martha was extremely dissapointed we were home so early. She was really looking forward to putting Nathan to bed.
