Easter Eggs and Candy

We had a nice time easter weekend. Grandma Marth and Kirstin organized egg dyeing as well as an easter egg hunt. He also did an easter egg hunt at church. That was pretty funny. He was very focused on acquiring the candy. It was definately a challenge to limit the candy intake. Here is a photo of him coloring eggs and showing his best cheesy picture smile. You can barely see the scar on the corner of his lip that is a result of the recorder accident.

Also here is picture of him hunting for eggs in the house later in the day Sunday.

Emergency Room #1

Nathan had his first trip to the emergency room a few weeks ago. He slipped, fell and split his lip open on his recorder (whistle). Kirstin slowed the bleeding and took him to the Ballard Swedish emergency room. I me them there ( I was on the bus on my way home when it happened). After a LONG time in the emergency room, they strapped him into a papoose to hold him still and stitched him up. A fun time was NOT had by all. Alls well that ends well though. He has healed up nicely and the trip back to get the stitches out was uneventful.

Here is a picture of his lip later in the evening after it happended.

I'm sure there will be more of these events as he continues to grow and experience the world to the fullest!
